STEVE WOLFSON
Starting
with the Cocker Spaniel in the early sixties, following with the Doberman, then
to his passion the Rottweiler from 1977 to the present, Steve Wolfson has been
involved with pure breed dogs for over 45 years. He is the former president of
the Long Island Working Rottweilers Club, a former board member of the American
Rottweiler Club and an AKC Rottweiler breeder specialist judge. As a writer and
lecturer on the Rottweiler, Steve has presented many seminars in the US,
Australia, Brasil, Jamaica, Ecuador, Canada and in Italia. He has studied and
apprenticed under many well-respected FCI judges administering measurements and
perfecting the skills necessary for critiquing dogs in the European fashion. He
is fully familiar with the German ZTP and Korung in both technique and
philosophy and is head evaluator for the American Rottweiler Measurement Survey.
Steve and his wife Shelly, under the kennel name of von Wolf, has bred 10 Rottweilers litters; many offspring from those litters have been V-rated. He also bred his male Dux von Wolf, which achieved his V- rating, Sch.I, ZTP, AD, and BH. Additionally, he handled his Rottweiler, Ch. Ruane's Dark Victory and his Giant Schnauzer, Ch Ingebar's Impossible Dream to their AKC Championship winning many BOB's and BOS's.
